So I have two concerns - primarily, is Superior Drummer going to demand more computer or processing resources? I know the sample library is enormous but just in terms of running the more complex program, does it affect RAM and/or latency? I've already been fighting with my computer and interface for months on that front, the last thing I want is to introduce one more drag on my recording speed.Īs a bonus question: my understanding is that EZ is pre-mixed for you and SD2 gives you more unprocessed sounds. I was set on EZDrummer but now Toontrack is having a crazy Black Friday sale on SD2 (while EZ is still not on sale right now) which means they are functionally the same price.
I'm angling to get either EZDrummer 2 or Superior Drummer 2 in the next few days - I've been recording with a Roland TD-11 and would like to take that next step in sound quality by triggering one of these programs instead of using the module's sounds.
